* gnus-spec.el: Add the Gnus version.
(gnus-update-format-specifications): If the Gnus version changes,
nix out the format spec cache.

* gnus.el (gnus-continuum-version): Made into a command and
optionalize the VERSION.

* gnus-spec.el (gnus-parse-complex-format): Remove %C specs from
the start of the lines.
