+IRC では、参加者を表すのに@emph{ニックネーム}と呼ばれる短い呼称が使われ

+IRC サーバに接続できたら、次は会話をしてみましょう。IRC では@emph{チャンネル}
+と呼ばれる仮想的な会議室に参加して会話を行ないます。チャンネルに入るには
+@kbd{C-c j} とタイプします。参加するチャンネル名を尋ねられたら、適切なチャ
+ンネル名を入力しましょう。IRCnet には @samp{#Riece} というチャンネルがあ
+るので、テストをしたい場合には自由にお使いください。
